The strength properties of titanium
The strength of titanium and titanium alloy tubes is divided into tensile strength, yield strength, shear strength and compressive strength.

The tensile strength: The tensile strength of pure titanium is 265 - 353Mpa. The general titanium alloy is 686 - 1176 Mpa. At present, it can be reached as much as 1764 Mpa. The strength of titanium alloy is similar to that of steel, but its specific strength of titanium alloy is much better than that of steel.

The compressive strength: The compressive strength of titanium and titanium alloy is not lower than the tensile strength. The compressive yield strength and tensile yield strength of industrial pure titanium are approximately equal, while the compressive strength of Ti-6AL-4V and Ti-5AL-2.5Sn is slightly higher than that of tensile strength.

The shear strength: The shear strength of titanium and titanium alloys is generally 60%--70% of the tensile strength.

The bearing strength: The bearing yield strength of titanium and titanium alloy sheet is about 1.2 to 2 times of tensile strength.
